ACI broadcasts winners of 2019 Excellence in Concrete Development Awards

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has introduced the winners of its 2019 Excellence in Concrete Development Awards.

The winners within the Infrastructure class had been:

1st Place: I-91 Brattleboro Bridge — Concrete Bridges to Nature: Brattleboro, Vt.
2nd Place: Goethals Bridge Alternative Challenge: Elizabeth, N.J.

The awards had been created to honor the visions of probably the most artistic tasks within the concrete trade, whereas offering a platform to acknowledge concrete innovation, know-how, and excellence throughout the globe.  To be eligible for participation within the Excellence Awards, tasks needed to win at an area ACI Chapter stage and be submitted by that Chapter or chosen by considered one of ACI’s Worldwide Companions.

An unbiased panel of esteemed trade professionals judged tasks and chosen winners based mostly on architectural and engineering advantage, creativity, modern building strategies or options, modern use of supplies, ingenuity, sustainability, resilience, and performance.
